Writing Center Toolbox
Writing Center staff members are available to speak at your next faculty meeting! We can present information and answer questions on any writing or Writing Center topics your group would like. To request a presenter at your faculty meeting, please complete this brief request form.
If you are working with a student with particular writing challenges and would like advice about the best resources for that student, we are happy to put together recommendations for you.
Fill out the brief Faculty Referral Form with specifics, and we will send you an e-mail full of resources and strategies for supporting your student.
[Note: This service is different from Chapter Edits, which is a specific type of request for dissertation/doctoral capstone writers.]
Our Office of Academic Editing provides prepublication and grant proposal edits for any Walden faculty member working on faculty-initiated, original research. The goal of this service is to promote faculty research and support faculty in the writing and publication processes. These edits focus on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and line editing, as well as voice, cohesion and flow, clarity, and other aspects of writing as specified by the faculty member, including APA style. Faculty Prepublication Edits are intended for journal articles, trade publications, white papers, and other short documents but not for books or book chapters. Faculty Grant Proposal Edits focus on presubmission grant proposals.
To have a manuscript or grant proposal edited, complete the application and submit a copy of the appropriate document. We will assign an editor, who will complete the edit within 14 days and return the document via e-mail.
