Academic Argument Development

In academic writing, it’s typically necessary to take a stance (what is often called an argument). This is different from solely reporting what you read and what other authors have already said on the topic. To help you develop and present your argument more clearly, read the Writing Center’s information on Writing a Paper: Academic Arguments. Look through the subpages, which explain different structures of an argument. I recommend __[choose a subpage]__ in particular.
