Center for Faculty Excellence
The Academic Operations Support (AOS) Team exists to provide support to the Walden Academic Operations for Walden’s Colleges and Centers.
AOS provides faculty and academic leadership support, and serves as the point of contact through the College/Center role accounts for faculty and academic leaders to assist with answering faculty and leadership questions. By creating and auditing college course build submissions for the Registrar’s office, inputting faculty course assignments into Banner, conducting course optimization, and sending course assignment letters and materials to faculty, the AOS team is in frequent and direct communication with Walden faculty regarding their assignments.
In addition, the AOS team oversees the faculty payroll auditing process through the payroll system, entering manual payments, working with academic approvers to approve payments, completing payroll audits, and answering faculty payroll questions. There are numerous administrative tasks and operational projects that AOS oversees in supporting the faculty onboarding process, providing College/Center meeting support, supporting College CAP Committee meeting support, reporting for state regulatory compliance, maintenance of student roster and enrollment reporting, and updating course catalog and human resource forms for faculty.
Some of the face-to-face support that the AOS team does involves Walden Events. AOS is tasked with preparing all logistics and coordinating site visits for Academic Program Reviews (APR’s), Accreditation, and other Academic Site Visits.
